Captured and Going Insane

This is the log of Doctor John Smith,

So, I’ve been doing some thinking, and the more I try to get a grip on reality, the more nothing seems to make sense. I mean, we were on that planet with those trick rooms, and now I can use the force, and now I seem to be captured by the empire. They are probably going to kill me, but in light of recent events, I just don’t seem to care. I mean how could things possibly go worse. Half of the team hates me, I feel like the dark side could take me over at any minute, and I am being marched into hands of those responsible for my parents murder. Or was that me. Oh who cares, nothing makes sense anymore. If all else fails, I think I’ll just give up on this whole logic nonsense. Logic got me into this mess, so I doubt it can get me back out.

Who am I?

This is the log of Doctor John Smith,

I just don’t know who I am anymore. Everything was fine, and there weren’t any problems, but after that accursed event in those rooms, I just don’t know anything about myself anymore. I was so certain that everything was fake. I was so quick to just dismiss everything that happened as nothing more than a mere illusion, but now I am having these strange feelings. I can feel something now, something in the universe that feels constantly present. I don’t know if it’s the force or if I am losing my mind. What I do know is that when I reach out to it, I can feel something good or bad. This has got me thinking about the events that transpired. If these powers are real, then what of the events that happened. Was I really a doctor in those rooms. I swore to bring aid to those in need, but I was so angry in those rooms that I could not see my lack of concern for my fellow travelers. I failed in my duties. I am becoming like the monsters who took my parents from me. Maybe for a moment I was that monster. I need to change. I need to fix what I have become. Whatever happens, I cannot allow evil to fill my heart. I think the first thing I must do is find Jac’s sister. Then I can make more sense out of what happened. I also need to rid myself of my weapons. That accursed pistol turned me into a monster so I must rid myself of it. I must be a doctor once again.

Hunk of Junk

This is the log of Doctor John Smith,

On our way to collect the Jedi Holocron, we happened to find an abandoned ship from what appears to be from the Clone Wars. We had managed to get it into our ship, but now that we have it, I can’t help but feel that we took too long in getting it. I hope we can get that holocron in time. Otherwise Sil will be in big trouble. What’s worse, after hearing that ominous laugh, I get the feeling that an old enemy is going to pay us a visit. But he died, didn’t he?

Ship Wranglers
Session 12

The heroes emerged outside the planet indicated by the black marketeer, only to find a huge debris field blocking their way. While navigating the field, a rogue scan picked up the presence of a piece of old tech, which the team decided to bring in.

They set up an elaborate plan to lasso the ship and bring it into the cargo bay while several crew members monitored the movements of the debris field. With a heroic act of strength, Reethan successfully pulled in the debris, which turned out to be a partially-wrecked starfighter covered in Jedi markings.

The team was unable to get the fighter working, but did recover a datapad that mentioned battles against the Sith. With this caution in mind, the heroes settled down on the planet and moved toward a ruined temple-like complex.

Once inside, exploration were muted but ultimately led to a fountain that recovered mental trauma for anyone who drank the waters. Once rested, the party went north, only to have a door slam behind them, and a familiar laugh filled the room…

The Bane of our Existance

This is the log of Doctor John Smith,

After finally getting some downtime to stock up on supplies, we find ourselves on another treasure hunt so that we might obtain some new armor. However, as we were resting in a bar on one of the planets along we, disaster strikes… again. This time, Cad Bane has decided to take on our bounty hunter in a little duel. You’d think we would get just one expedition without any hiccups, but that is not going to be the case for us. Thankfully I just bought that bacta tank for our ship. I think our bounty hunter will need it. I also might want to ask him what his new name is, seeing as how I’ve forgotten it already.

In Which Our Heroes Shoot an Old Man
Session 11

The door led to a sumptuous chamber, full of priceless artifacts and golden items. The high priest (?) waited for the heroes, the dark stone throbbing at his throat.

He told them to flee, but the heroes were locked in discussion and refused. The priest raised his hands and they all felt pain curse through their bodies. He was boiling their blood! J’artan collapsed, and the others were severely wounded.

The priest again demanded that the heroes leave while John treated J’artan’s wounds. As they all stood up to face the priest, he group decided to kill the priest instead.

They fired two perfectly aimed volleys, which dropped the priest. The heroes quickly looted the room as the palace began to crumble around them, the boss evidently being load-bearing.

The ragged band emerged onto the street, where Solo and his hired help awaited. After tense negotiation, the heroes received 60,000 Credits in exchange for unloading the stone to Han Solo and his gang of toughs. One of the crew, a hired killer, was shot by Solo for his duplicity.

The heroes quickly fled, hurrying to the stars and hoping to catch a solar current to Ryloth. Nat developed a new identity, Insilaeus, and secured new papers en route to Ryloth. The others successfully shopped and scouted, and before long, they all were on their way.

However, Nat wanted more, and he tapped Jac‘s contacts to find a suit of powered armor to help him scavenge and hunt. The trader led the team to an old herbalist’s shop, where they engaged in yet more tense negotiation. Eventually, the black marketeer agreed to trade them the armor for a Jedi Holocron, and he supplied the coordinates of the mystery-shrouded and highly illegal piece of old tech.

The slave girl agreed to join the crew for one last heist before settling on Ryloth, and so they charted a jump for the uncharted zone. Before they could go, however, the famous bounty hunter Cad Bane appeared, hunting Nat. He accosted them in a tavern, and challenged Nat to single combat on the edge of town. Reethan and J’artan demanded to be allowed to act as seconds, and Cad reluctantly allowed them to stand nearby.

The battle was bloody and quick, and Nat’s rifle jammed just as the firefight was getting underway. Reethan tossed him a grenade launcher, and with a few well-placed strikes, Bane was down. His body was collected by a team of droids, and the battle was over – for now.

IT'S HAN SOLO!!!!

This is the log of Doctor John Smith,

Having finally gotten away from the imperials, I now find myself on some bizarre quest for treasure. Dodging blades and traps at every corner is not exactly how I wanted to spend the day, but I got to meet Han Solo so I guess everything turned out alright. I regret having that embarrassing fanboy incident when we first met, but being able to help him out is absolutely fantastic. Hopefully we can reach a shop soon. I need a new weapon, and I am definitely going to need more medical supplies. Maybe I’ll finally get some down time after constantly being at risk of dying. Oh well, only time will tell.
